IELTS GENERAL WRITING TASK 2

There are five types of essay questions:

Opinion
Discussion
Advantage/Disadvantage
Solution
Direct question

Solution Essay:

It generally asks us about the causes and solutions.

Introduction
  • Rewrite the general statement in your own words.
  • What cause are you going to discuss. -> this essay will discuss + TWO MAIN CAUSES
  • What solution are you going to discuss. - > this essay will also suggest solutions to these problems including + two solutions

Paragraph 1:
  • Mention 2 causes in different words
  • give reason (ask yourself why)
  • give example( For example)
  • conclude (This often results in............)

Paragraph 2
  • Mention 2 solutions (eg. By maintaining ....,In order to eradicate...............,)
  • Give reason(ask yourself why)(eg People need to realise...., It is obvious that.....)
  • Give example
  • Conclude ( Therefore in order to....., In Summary)

Conclusion
  • Rewrite the general statement in your own words.(In conclusion, in today's........)
  • What cause discussed. -> this essay discussed how + TWO MAIN CAUSES
  • What solution sugessted. - > this essay also suggested that the solutions to these problems are twofold + two solutions

IELTS GENERAL Writing Task 1 - Letters

NOTE:

  •  Always practice in the Official answer sheet, so you will know how much lines we use for writing the 150 words, this way counting the words will be easy.
